In Japan, they give a person’s last name (the family name or surname) first – hence Kishiro Yukito at his own web site. In the western world, we say Yukito Kishiro, surname second.
The epithet ‘san’ indicates respect and is not uncommon in Japanese society, especially when it comes to elders and young over achievers like Kishiro-san.
