November 18, 2004 – The NPR interview of James Cameron by Neal Conan on National Public radio is about 33 minutes long. At the very end, the following was said about Battle Angel.
“Neal Conan: Could you give us any idea of what your next feature is?
James Cameron: Yeah, actually we’re in preproduction right now on a project called Battle Angel which is something I’ve been working on for several years. We’re finishing up the shooting draft right now. We’ve been designing it. It’s a big science fiction film. Couple of things that will be interesting about this project: the main character, even though it’s a live action film, the main character will be done with CG animation; the second thing that’s going to be interesting is that we’re going to be shooting it in 3-D, using the stereo imaging system that we’ve been developing for the documentaries.”
